IØ is an independent, self-governing fund associated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Minister of Foreign Affairs appoints the Fund’s Board of Directors and its managing director.
In all other matters, IØ is a self-governing institution with a special obligation and commitment to conduct proper management conduct, high environmental standards and social responsibility in relation to investment projects in developing countries.
